A Good Cellular Signal

My life is sports. I love everything about the industry; especially the legal aspects, negotiations, and overall behind-the-scenes facets that enable us to enjoy a good game. I do have some other interests; however, and one of those interests involves the development of stem cells.

On September 14th of last year, I declared my intention to write a senior thesis on how stem cells have changed the Republican Party [Stem Cells]. Six months later, I am almost done with the thesis, which is titled, The Stem Cell Divide: How Embryonic Stem Cell Research Altered the Republican Party. I will definitely post the paper in its entirety once a final copy is established, but today, I would rather discuss a very interesting development that I have come across in my stem cell research.

There are medical professionals who now seriously believe that stem cells will be able to “grow new knee ligaments or elbow tendons creating a therapy that becomes the vanguard of sports injury repair” [Rapid rate of recovery]. In fact, the article notes that Sports Agents (including Leigh Steinberg) are proactively starting to advice their clients to bank stem cells from their children or even from their own body in case this type of injury repair takes off in the near future. The research being done may not turn out to be successful, but it cannot hurt to have your clients store some stem cells in case it turns out to be worthwhile in rehabilitation. You can learn more about sports injuries here.

I am off to Midtown (the bars) of Gainesville right now to root on my Gators as they whoop up on Ohio State! Horf, Noah, Brewer, Hump, and Green don’t need any stem cells!
