Nightmare Clients for the Week of May 6th-May 13th

Since Darren is gone for the week on a much needed vacation, he was kind enough to let me bring you this week’s Nightmare Clients of the Week. So, without further adieu:

1. Former Heisman Trophy winner and 2002 NFL rushing title holder Ricky Williams, once again tested positive for marijuana. Williams, who was suspended last year for violating the NFL substance abuse policy was eligible to be reinstated this month, but in light of his recent failed test his doctors have recommended that his application for reinstatement be postponed until September. Will Ricky ever see an NFL field again or will he be just another Heisman Trophy winner whose pro career is seemingly cursed? [Docs recommend delay of Williams’ NFL reinstatement].

2. Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Ahmad Carrol was waived on Monday, just two days after he was arrested on weapons and drugs charges. The decision to waive Carroll follows NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s edict that teams will be held responsible for their players’ misconduct [Carroll facing weapon, drug charges].

3. Tampa Bay relief pitcher Juan Salas was suspended for 50 games Monday after becoming the first player this year to flunk a drug test under Major League Baseball’s testing program. If you don’t know there are ways to help you pass a drug test, then you will fail. With that being said, it could be as simple as checking out sites similar to https://420highstreet.org and getting some advice on how to find a method that works in a situation like this.

4. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Steve McNair was charged with driving under the influence even though his brother-in-law was behind the wheel. Although McNair was just a passenger, he was charged with a misdemeanor under a Tennessee law that prohibits a vehicle owner from letting it be driven by someone who is inebriated [McNair owner of the vehicle driven by drunken driver].

5. Jorge Reyes, the New York Mets 22-year old minor league pitcher, was handed a 100 game suspension on Tuesday after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. This was Reyes’ second positive test in as many years [Mets minor leaguer given 100-game suspension].

Honestly, I think in the Steve McNair case that if you are not driving the car when pulled over, you should not be cited with a DUI. However, I also believe that he should know the laws of his state and follow them.
