What’s Your New Years Plans/Resolution?

Raleigh New Years

We are vastly approaching that time of the year. It is basically just another reason to party, but to quantify it, it ranks up there with your birthday and signing a big deal for your client (definitely a big reason to party). I am referring to New Years Eve, which will be occurring on…you guessed it, December 31, 2007.

People throw down money on New Years Eve. In order to party with the big shots, you have to step up and pay up. Sports agents are known to spend some top dollars on special occasions like New Years, in order to impress current clients, woo potential clients, and have a good time. If you will be in South Beach for this New Years Eve, I suggest looking into the grandest and most exclusive party in town happening at the Raleigh Hotel. You will find a party here and there promoted by this team or that team, but Raleigh has practically every promotions team in Miami pushing its party.

If you are interested in learning more about the party or want to inquire about how to purchase tickets/tables, feel free to email me. I am actually participating as one of the promoters of the party.

On another note, once New Years rolls in and it’s time to make a resolution for the next year (after you hopefully find a New Years kiss), what will you decide to change in your life? You do not have to leave it as a comment, but feel free to if you so choose. Hopefully we can all make the world a better place just by following through on at least one of our resolutions.

Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.
