PBA News

Team USA won its second consecutive five-player team gold medal at the 2008 World Tenpin Bowling Association Men’s World Championships in a dramatic tiebreaker Wednesday. Patrick Allen led Team USA in the finals with 249, followed by Page with 244, Barnes with 205, Jones with 201 and Bill Hoffman of Columbus, Ohio, with 185.

Gerard Haran

Washington Wild Things fall the Kalamazoo Kings in both games of the double- header. In the third inning of the first game, Gerard Haran doubled. This was not enough to edge out the Kalamazoo ending with scores of (5-3), (8-3).

Robert Lara

Lara got his 13th double of the season; as the AZL Padres defeat the Cubs (2-1)

Dan Leatherman

Leatherman got in the game relieving pitcher Rodriguez in the 4th inning. The Hagerstown Suns lost their first game of a two-game series to the Lakewood BlueClaws (40-26) falling by a score of 2-1.

Kyle Gunderson

Potomac Nationals defeat Salem Avalanche (8 -4) Gunderson did not play in this game.

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.
