Georgia Is On Dynasty’s Mind

We are happy to announce the signing of our seventeenth MLB affiliated player, and to develop a strong relationship with a new team that we have not dealt with in the past.  Just yesterday, Dynasty came to an agreement with Mike Bohana, a player we first started recruiting immediately following the 2008 MLB Draft.

Michael Bohana is a 6’1”, 180 lbs right handed pitcher out of Kennesaw State University. He was born on October 14, 1985 in Atlanta, Georgia where he attended Roswell High School.  KSU and Roswell HS are both powerhouse baseball programs in Georgia, and are well known throughout the entire country.  Michael was drafted in the 26th round (779th overall) of the 2008 draft by the Cincinatti Reds.

While at KSU, he posted a 3-4 record with a 5.28 ERA his senior year. In that season, he struck out 51 batters in 44.1 innings pitched while capturing 6 saves (11 in his career). Since being drafted in 08′, Michael has a 5.41 ERA, 60 strikeouts in 58.2 IP, with WHIP of 1.89. This season he has been promoted from Rookie Ball to the Class A Midwest League where he currently plays for the Daytona Dragons.

Mike’s numbers do not do him justice.  We see a bright future ahead of him and cannot wait for Mike to start with a clean slate at the beginning of next year.

Congrats Dynasty, as a former KSU student I love the connection! Keep an eye out for future KSU talent as the had two pitchers go early in this years draft, Chad Jenkins go 20th overall to the Blue Jays (dont know his agent) and Kyle Heckathorn go 47th overall (he is represented by CS&E). They also had a hangful of other drafted and sign, Justin Edwards-Cardinals, Jace Whitmer-Braves, Kenny Faulk-Tigers.

Thanks, Tyler. We are deep in conversation with another former KSU baseball player that you listed above. He doesn’t have an agent, currently. I won’t give away the name 🙂
