Usually we cover athletes using social media for wrong reasons.  This time it is an agency Tweeting without care about how those Tweets will affect its brand.  Realize that Reynolds’ Tweets do not only affect his reputation, but that of his company and his clients.  Others may be less inclined to work with a company that Tweets such statements.  Competitors of Uptown Sports may use such Tweets against the agency in future recruiting battles.

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.

After Avery’s previous off-ice transgressions, I was pleasantly surprised by this video. At the same time, I’m very discouraged that another person so visible in the hockey industry would come out with a statement like that. Funny that Reynolds says “we are all equal,” just not equal enough to be married apparently.

Thank you Todd Reynolds for speaking the truth and not denying the God you serve! He is worth it! If God be with you, who can be against you? If the silent majority would stand up for the Christ they claim to serve, this would be a nonissue!
