NC State CB David Amerson Signs With JT Johnson Of Atlas Sports

NC State CB David Amerson has chosen JT Johnson of Atlas Sports Agency as his representative.

This morning, NFLPA certified Contract Advisor JT Johnson informed Sports Agent Blog that he officially signed North Carolina State University cornerback David Amerson to a Standard Representation Agreement (first reported on Twitter, here).  Amerson recently completed his Junior season at NC State and expressed his intentions to enter the NFL Draft last week.  NFLDraftScout.com currently ranks the CB as the 8th best available player at his position and a projected 2-3 round pick; however, a couple of Mock Drafts on that website indicate that he could be a 1st round selection.

The signing of Amerson continues what was already a very hot signing period for a newer entrant into the world of athlete representation.  As indicated on December 31, 2012, this site believes Johnson is 2013’s football agent to watch.  At the time, he had already signed Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter, California wide receiver Keenan Allen and California quarterback Zach Maynard.  The addition of Amerson, who admittedly did not live up to lofty expectations in 2012, enhances Johnson’s 2013 class and will certainly make rivals a little concerned about their new competition.
