It is hard to believe that a month of 2013 has already come and gone.  Only a month ago, this site celebrated its 7th birthday.  In 8 days, I will be 4 times the age of Sports Agent Blog.  It is amazing to think that I have been operating this website for roughly 1/4 of my existence.  And SAB is a Top 100 Sports Blog to follow in 2013!  As always, thanks for being a reader and for sharing this content with others.  This past week on Forbes.com, I wrote the following: (1) Ravens vs. 49ers Super Bowl Ticket Prices Projected To Be Lowest In Three Years; (2) Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis Still Questioned In The Court Of Public Opinion; (3) Is It Worth Spending $4 Million On A Super Bowl Commercial?; (4) Fantasy Sports Service, FanDuel, Secures $11 Million Investment; Includes Money From Comcast Ventures; (5) Submergence Of The Super Bowl Ticket Market; and (6) Super Bowl Social Command Center Tracks Chatter And Sentiment Surrounding 49ers And Ravens.  And as always, the sports biz links:

By Darren Heitner

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.
