Baseball agent Andrew Lowenthal has been added to the Jet Sports family. Tampa, Florida-based Jet Sports Management is managed by B.B. Abbott, who created the company in 1999 after four years of practicing law. Today, Jet Sports Management represents Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann, Chicago White Sox pitcher Chris Sale and Seattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino, amongst many others.
Andrew Lowenthal, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Member of the New York State Bar Association, was formerly the Senior Vice President at Proformance Baseball. He worked under Managing Directors Bean Stringfellow, Jeff Beck and Jay Alou. Clients at Proformance include Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista, Miami Marlins pitcher Steven Cishek and Kansas City Royals pitcher Ervin Santana.
Neither Abbott nor Lowenthal commented about Lowenthal’s departure from Proformance and addition to Jet Sports Management outside of a couple of tweets posted by Jet Sports announcing the move. There may be concern that Proformance files a grievance against Lowenthal and/or Jet Sports based on the change of employer.

As a former player represented by Lowenthal, I’d highly recommend prospects to sign elsewhere. His ethics and client loyalty is questionable at best.
