Former Tennessee Volunteers offensive lineman James Stone signs with a3.

A handful of clients from Knoxville, Tennessee’s Allegiant Athletic Agency call the University of Tennessee their alma mater, including recent signee James Stone. Stone will be represented by NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, Isaac Conner.

“We are so pleased to sign a player and person the caliber of James Stone,” said Conner, who is also the Executive VP/General Counsel for a3.  “James has always been and continues to be a very serious and dedicated student-athlete.  The great thing about James is that he loves football and has clearly stated that he aims to become the best center in the NFL.  What is also great is that he has a plan on how he will achieve that goal.  Based on what he has accomplished to this point in his life, we fully believe he will achieve his goal.”

The Nashville, Tennessee native started all 12 games in 2013, helping the Volunteers’ rushing attack gain 2,261 rushing yards, the most in a single season since 2004.  Stone played offensive tackle at Maplewood High School along with guard and center at Tennessee, so his versatility will be welcomed at the next level.

NFLDraftScout.com lists Stone as the No. 10 rated center in the upcoming NFL Draft.  Stone will continue to train in Knoxville with Charlie Petrone (Petrone Training) leading up to the NFL Draft while he also finishes obtaining his degree.
