Sports Agent Joe Linta Inducted Into Beaver County Sports Hall Of Fame

Veteran sports agent, Joe Linta, was recently inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame, a non-profit devoted to honoring those who have brought recognition to Beaver County (Pennsylvania) through their contributions in the sports business industry.  Since its founding in 1975, the Hall of Fame has inducted roughly 400 members at its banquets.

“I am humbled and honored to be inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame, a group that includes, among others, Joe Namath, Tony Dorsett, and Terry Francona,” Linta said to SportsAgentBlog.com.  “To be recognized as having been a success in sports is very flattering.  It was an amazing night with the chance to visit with other inductees and friends in the sports world that I haven’t seen in years.  It certainly was a night I’ll never forget.”

Linta actually participated in an internship with the Beaver County Times years prior to becoming an agent.  An NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor since 1990, Linta’s best-known client is arguably Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Joe Flacco.  Following the Ravens’ Super Bowl victory in 2013, Linta secured Flacco a six-year, $120.6 million contract, with $50 million guaranteed.

As the Founder of JL Sports, Linta represents 50-plus NFL coaches and players.  The agency is slated to have one of its biggest draft classes ever in 2014.  Potential selections include LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger, Georgia offensive guard Chris Burnette, Syracuse linebacker Marquis Spruill, and Georgia Tech linebacker Brandon Watts.  The sports agency recently landed Auburn’s Iron Bowl hero, Chris Davis, as well.
