According to CBS Sports’ MLB Insider, Jon Heyman, Kansas City Royals catcher, Salvador Perez, has changed representation — again.

The Valencia, Venezuela native is now represented by Beverly Hills Sports Council and agent Rick Thurman. His former agency was SPS Sports Group.  Prior to SPS, he had been under management with the Morgan Advisory Group.

In February 2012, Perez agreed to a five-year extension with the Royals that could keep him in Kansas City until 2019.  He is making $1.5 million during the current season.  Perez has tallied 12 home runs, 38 RBIs and is batting .281 in 94 GP.

According to its website, Beverly Hills has negotiated over $2 billion in guaranteed MLB salaries.  It represents outfielder Hunter Pence (San Francisco Giants), pitcher Tim Lincecum (San Francisco Giants) and outfielder Ryan Ludwick (Cincinnati Reds), to name a few of the agency’s clients.
