Octagon Announces Two Leadership Promotions

According to a company press release, Octagon has announced two leadership promotions which help in the positioning of the agency for continued expansion of its global marketing and events business. John Shea and Jeff Ehrenkranz have each been promoted to the President, Marketing and Events and President, Marketing International respectively. Both Shea and Ehrenkranz have been with Octagon for over 20 years and will both report directly to Octagon Worldwide Chairman & CEO Rick Dudley.

“The leadership, creativity and relentless drive John and Jeff have embodied throughout their careers is unparalleled,” said Dudley in reference to the promotions. “One of the hallmarks of Octagon is our leadership, and John and Jeff exemplify everything about Octagon that puts us in the right place to face tomorrow’s market challenges for our clients and people.”

Prior to his promotion, John Shea managed Octagon’s North and South American consulting teams which under his direction secured client partnerships that span decades and programs recognized by Cannes and Clio Sports among others. He has created sponsorship platforms across a variety of segments and managed relationships will all of the major sports leagues and organizations in the Americas. He will be responsible for Octagon Marketing Americas, the Events division and The Content Group.

Jeff Ehrenkranz most recently served as Octagon’s Managing Director EMEI. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing operations and new business across the region. In his new role, he will add the Asia Pacific region to his responsibilities. He has developed the reputation as one of the industry’s top international marketing strategists after living and working in Japan, Australia and Europe. His team was recently recognized as Consultancy of the Year by the UK Sponsorship Awards
