CSE Talent Launches NFL Player Representation Division

Today, CSE Talent announced the creation of a new NFL player representation division to be led by NFL agent Jason Katz. CSE Football will be headquartered in Miami, FL. This is big news in the NFL agency world as CSE Talent represents some of the premier names in sports and broadcasting such as Tyronn Lue, Ernie Johnson, Hines Ward and Jeff Francoeur.

CSE Talent is a subsidiary of Cooper Holdings where Lonnie Cooper is the current CEO. Cooper commented on the launch of CSE Football stating, “It has long been a goal of ours to establish a representation venture in the world of professional football and we are incredibly excited to add Jason to our dynamic team at CSE Talent.”

“Jason has represented All-Pro caliber NFL players and brings to CSE Talent a wealth of skills, knowledge and relationships in the industry. CSE Football, under the leadership of Jason, will make an immediate impact in the business of representing NFL players. He is the right person to spearhead this new endeavor and we believe that we have the groups in place at Cooper Holdings to give him all the resources he needs to succeed,” continued Co0per.

Our own Darren Heitner formerly interned at CSE and tweeted out that he was shocked by the announcement as “Lonnie said he would never re-enter football after fallout [with] Todd France.” That is, of course, in reference to CAA agent Todd France who is one of the top agents in the NFL today.

On the same day CSE Talent announced the launch of CSE Football, it has also announced the company’s first signing. Kansas City Chiefs rookie DT Chris Jones, the 37th pick in this year’s NFL Draft, has signed with CSE Football’s Jason Katz. Considering Jones was previously represented by Rosenhaus Sports, this could be a sign that CSE Football will become a major player in the NFL representation industry.
