Wasserman Media Group Signs Golfer, Negotiates Apparel Deals

Former Second Team All-America and First Team All-Pac-12 golfer Jonathan Garrick has signed with Wasserman Media Group and will be represented by agent Chris Armstrong. The former UCLA Bruin golfer also signed an apparel deal with TaylorMade Adidas Golf.

According to Garrick’s bio on the PGA Tour website, he turned pro in 2016 and has earned just under $7,000 this year in the PGA Canadian Tour.

Wasserman also signed current LPGA golfer Morgan Pressel to a new apparel deal with Under Armour after switching from Lilly Pulitzer. Prressel was drawn to Under Armour after their “UA Power in Pink” campaign to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. Her mother died of breast cancer when Pressel was 15-years-old, and her efforts have helped raised nearly $5 million for breast cancer over the past 10 years.

According to Armstrong, Callaway Golf is also in the midst of a renewal deal to continue sponsoring Pressel’s use of Callaway golf clubs.

According to their website, Wasserman “Proudly represents thousands of athletes, broadcasters, coaches and social media influencers around the world – supporting their career, business and brand opportunities on a global scale. Built on integrity and a relentless pursuit of pushing what’s possible for our clients, our robust, expert team provides a full suite of services for the modern athlete – in Golf, Basketball, Baseball, American Football, Global Football (soccer), Action Sports and Olympics – from top deal negotiations through brand development and beyond.”
