Chris Bosh Fires Agent While Fighting For His Career

According to various reports and an article Donald Battle, Chris Bosh has fired long time agent Henry Thomas of CAA.

Bosh has been through a lot off the court in the past two years, having both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons cut short due to blood his lungs. Recently, he was talking about how he was excited to return to the court this year after seemingly sorting out his health issues. However, that return to the court has been halted in the matter of days.

News broke that Bosh did not pass his pre-training camp physical with the Miami Heat, and then Heat President Pat Riley told media outlets that Bosh’s career with the team is over. As Bosh fights to get back on the court and resume his NBA career, he decided he needed to make a change in his representation in attempts to link on with a team as training camps begin this week.

Bosh’s departure from the Heat signals an end to the once powerful “Big 3” of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Bosh. Each of the three seem to have ended their Heat careers on a bitter note, with James returning to Cleveland in the summer of 2014, Wade leaving the only team he had been with for his 13-year career to join Chicago, and now Bosh.

As Bosh continues to battle health issues, it will be interesting to see if he has his choice of agents lining up for his representation in addition to the teams willing to risk bringing him aboard.
