Tennis Agent John Tobias Joins TLA Worldwide

According to a press release, tennis agent John Tobias is joining TLA Worldwide and will assume the role of senior vice president of the sports marketing group.

Tobias, the former head of tennis at Lagardère Sports and Entertainment, will be responsible for “seeking out and developing sales and marketing for TLA’s existing clients and properties, recruiting across the sports landscape and securing new and revenue generating opportunities throughout the TLA platform,” according to the release. In addition to working on these opportunities for TLA’s existing clients, he brings former clients Mike and Bob Bryan (the Bryan brothers), Mardy Fish, Sam Querrey and Sloane Stephens along with him.

He has been recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the top 30 executives in sports under the age of 30 and named to SBJ’s prestigious “Forty Under 40” list. At Lagardère, he oversaw more than 70 professional tennis players on both the ATP and WTA tours.
