Jim Tanner is a veteran of the NBA sports agent industry so it’s no surprise to see his company, Tandem Sports & Entertainment, with an impressive list of draft prospects approaching the 2017 NBA Draft.
Justin Jackson, the star forward from North Carolina, headlines the class. DraftExpress ranks Jackson as the 13th best overall prospect in this year’s class. Tanner also signed Texas center Jarrett Allen who made a number of highlight reel plays this season. Allen is only 19 years old and is currently the 17th best overall prospect according to DraftExpress.
In addition to those two likely first-round picks, Tanner also signed North Carolina guard Nate Britt and Vanderbilt forward/center Luke Kornet. Kornet is projected as a late 2nd round / undrafted prospect and Britt is not expected to be drafted.
It’s going to be a busy offseason for Tandem Sports who has nine clients that will be free agents this summer all with guaranteed or very legitimate chances of signing with an NBA team. Tanner founded Tandem in 2013 after working at law firm Williams & Connolly for 16 years.
