Former NASCAR Driver Carl Edwards Signs With ICM Partners

Per Liz Mullen, ICM Partners has signed recently retired NASCAR driver Carl Edwards for his representation.

At ICM, Mark Zimmerman, Lou Oppenheim and Matt Sorger will represent Edwards in a variety of aspects of his second career including marketing, speaking, broadcasting, literary and acting among others.

Edwards stepped away from racing in January of this year, citing three reasons for his decision: he’s satisfied with is career; he wants to devote time to the people in his life (family); and, he wants to stay healthy. After a 13 year NASCAR career in which he won 28 races, the 38-year-old Edwards decided it was time for a change.

In signing with ICM, it marks the first time that Edwards will be represented by a full-service talent agency. Although he does not have any definitive plans of what he wants to pursue now that he is done racing, he has appeared in commercials for various brands and made cameo appearances on TV shows.

His new agents view this as a blank slate and are “casting a wide net” in terms of new projects.
