On To The Next One: Danny Green

San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green announced via his social media accounts (Twitter/Instagram) that he has signed with Roc Nation Sports for his representation. He was previously represented by Bill Duffy.

Green, a 6’6” 215-pound North Babylon, NY-native, is in his ninth NBA season. Originally drafted out of North Carolina in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Green has found success with the Spurs. As a rookie, he played only 20 games with the Cavs who then waived him at the start of his second season. He was picked up by the Spurs who waived him six days later.

After signing in Europe, a couple stints in the D-League and the NBA lockout in 2011, Green has been a mainstay in the Spurs rotation. When the Spurs defeated the Heat in the 2014 NBA Finals, Green became the third former Tar Heel to win both an NCAA championship (2009) and an NBA championship joining Michael Jordan and James Worthy.

Although he hit a few speed bumps early in his career, Green has made the most of his opportunities in the NBA. He holds the second highest record of three-pointers made in a single NBA Finals series with 27 and was named to the 2017 All-NBA Defensive Second Team.

He becomes the second current NBA player in recent months to make the switch to Roc Nation, joining Cavs forward Jeff Green.
