Over the last few weeks, NFL Teams have invested large amounts of cash for players on the open market. With the market starting to cool down, I wanted to take a look at the agents and agencies that have brokered some of the larger deals in the marketplace. Below are the top ten agencies by fully guaranteed negotiated dollars during the first few weeks of free agency. For the purpose of this article, the numbers below only reflect deals from Pro Football Talk’s Top 100 Free Agent List.

CAA has continued its dominance in the industry as it currently ranks first in fully guaranteed negotiated and total value negotiated during the free agency period.  Chicago-based Priority Sports is another agency that is dominating as it currently have the highest percentage of fully guaranteed deals.

In looking at “The Top 10 Agents by Fully Guaranteed Negotiated”, Priority Sports agent Mike McCartney ranks first on the list. In addition to Kirk Cousins’ fully guaranteed multi-year deal, McCartney negotiated the highest total guaranteed contract and APY for a center after Ryan Jensen signed a 4-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is the second consecutive free agency where McCartney set a bar on guarantees for offensive lineman. Last year, McCartney negotiated TJ Lang’s free agent deal with Detroit, where Lang earned the highest average guarantee/year for any interior offensive lineman.

Other agents who strengthened positional markets include Joel Segal, Drew Rosenhaus, and Mark Humenik. Segal negotiated $128.5M total value in the cornerback market while Humenik and Rosenhaus worked the offensive line market.  Humenik’s client, Nate Solder, reset the Left Tackle market after signing a $15.5M APY deal while Rosenhaus client, Andrew Norwell, reset the guard market in full guarantees and APY.

Lastly, below is a full list of PFTs Top 100 and each player’s representation.
