The Kawa brothers of First Round Management have announced that they’ve added Cleveland Browns LB B.J. Bello to their roster of clients. The Miami-based agency is primarily known for MMA representation, but its list of football players is rapidly growing.
Founded by Malki Kawa, who was eventually accompanied by brother Abe, First Round Management has an exclusive group of agents. Along the MMA spectrum, FRM features Anthony Pettis, B.J. Penn and Jessica Aguilar. However, expansion into the NFL realm is on FRM’s mind as it tries to establish itself in a business that’s highly saturated and competitive.
Prior to signing with FRM, Bello had previously been without an agent. The timing of this partnership is perfect, considering after the 2018 NFL season, Bello enters free agency.
After going undrafted in 2017, the 6’3″, 229 pound Bello signed a two-year contract with the Browns. He is slated to become an exclusive rights free agent after the 2018 season as a 24-year-old.
Last season, Bello appeared in 16 games for the brown, tallying six total tackles.
