On To The Next One: Reds INF Nick Senzel

Top Reds prospect, Nick Senzel, has hired Joel Wolfe of Wasserman Group to represent him. The 2nd overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft was formerly represented by Scott Boras.

Rated as the #6 overall prospect in MLB, Senzel looks to bounce back this upcoming season after suffering a season ending injury last season with a torn tendon in his right index finger.

As Opening Day approaches, the 23-year-old will most likely start out the year with Triple-A Louisville. However, expect him to get a call up to the big leagues sooner rather than later for the Reds.

In 44 games last season, Senzel hit .310 with 12 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 25 RBIs and eight stolen bases for Triple-A Lousiville.

Joel Wolfe, executive vice president of baseball at Wasserman, has negotiated over $788 million in contracts. His client s include Orioles first baseman/outfielder Mark Trumbo, Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish and Yankees outfielder/DH Giancarlo Stanton. Wolfe negotiated Stanton’s noteworthy 13-year, $325 million deal with the Miami Marlins.
