PUMA Expands Basketball Roster, Adds Top WNBA Picks

PUMA has inked WNBA No. 1 overall pick Jackie Young, and No. 4 overall pick Katie Lou Samuelson to endorsement deals. Young and Samuelson join a roster that includes NBA’s 2018 No. 1 pick DeAndre Ayton and 2018 No. 2 pick Marvin Bagley III.

“It was clear to me that PUMA had a real vision for their product and a commitment to center women in their basketball strategy, so this partnership made sense,” said Young.  “I’m proud to be a foundational member of their legacy in our game.”

Puma reentered the basketball market in 2018 after being absent for nearly two decades. Puma introduced the revamped Clyde Court, an updated version of the shoe Walt Clyde Frazier wore for the Knicks back in the 1970s.

PUMA’s basketball roster also includes DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay, Danny Green, Kevin Knox, Michael Porter Jr, Terry Rozier, Sterling Brown, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Zhaire Smith.

It will be interesting to see who PUMA signs for their 2019 NBA class after they signed the No. 1 and No. 2 pick last year.
