Michael Thomas Signs Record-Breaking Contract Extension

New Orleans Saints All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas signed a five-year, $100 million dollar extension Wednesday morning. The contract has $61 million guaranteed. Thomas is now the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL and is the first offensive player in history, other than a quarterback, to sign a $100 million dollar deal.

Thomas has more receptions, 321, in his first three seasons than any other player in NFL history. Thomas will now report to camp as he was previously holding out for this new deal. He is set to make $1.148 million this season in the final year of his rookie deal. Thomas is tied to the Saints through the 2024 season.

Thomas is represented by Athletes First agents David Mulugheta and Andrew Kessler.

Last week, Mulugheta negotiated the highest-paid safety deal in NFL history for client Kevin Byard. Byard signed a contract extension with the Titans for $70.5 million over five years, with $31 million guaranteed.

Mulugheta also represents Jalen Ramsey, who arrived to Jaguars training camp in a Brinks truck. Ramsey is looking for a contract extension and hopes to become the highest paid cornerback in the NFL.

Anyone who is interested in sports betting will want to take Thomas’ production into consideration.
