Yves Pons Signs With Life Sports Agency

Life Sports Agency has signed Yves Pons to their client roster. Pons will be represented by Jaafar Choufani and Todd Ramasar for full-service representation. Pons will be joining notable clients such as Marcin Gortat and Pascal Siakam.

The 6’6″, 215-pound guard/forward is from Fuveau, France where he attended school at INSEP Academy. Other notable INSEP basketball alums include Boris Diaw, Tony Parker and Ronny Turiaf. During his collegiate career, Pons received First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, SEC All-Defensive Team (2020 and 2021), SEC Defensive Player of the Year (2020), Lefty Driesell Defensive All-America Team (2021), and SEC Tournament All-Tournament Team (2021). He was one of 10 finalists for the Naismith National Defensive Player of the Year Award. He is Tennessee’s first-ever men’s basketball player from France and just the eight international player in school history. Before attending Tennessee, Pons was considered one of the top-10 international prospects at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championships in Zaragoza, Spain.

Outside of basketball, Pons is a skilled saxophone player. He also competed in Judo until he was 11 years old, where he gave it up to play basketball. Pons has an Instagram account called “Pons Cam” where he shows that he is more than an athlete. In April of 2021, Pons donated all of the money he made from photography sessions to the Make A Wish East Tennessee Association. He raised $1225 with all of the sessions in the last couple of months and donated it to them.

Pons is preparing for the NBA Draft on July 29th and is doing his pre-draft training in Los Angeles with the other Life Sports clients.
