Eugene Omoruyi Signs With Life Sports Agency

Life Sports Agency has signed redshirt senior Eugene Omoruyi to their client roster. Omoruyi will be joining Yves Pons for their rookie draft class.

The 6’6″, 235-pound forward is from Rexdale, Ontario where he attended high school at Orangeville Prep. He played alongside NBA’s Thon Maker and Jamal Murray. Omoruyi is Canadian-Nigerian and speaks Edu (Nigerian). During the 2020-2021 season, Omoruyi was awarded All Pac-12 First Team, All International Third Team, USBWA All-District IX First Team, and NABC All-District 19 Second Team. He was the only Duck to start all 28 games this past season. Omoruyi led the team and was sixth in the conference in scoring at 17.1 points per game. He ranked sixth in the Pac-12 in steals and 14th in rebounds.

Prior to joining the Ducks, Omoruyi transferred from Rutgers. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten. He had seven double-doubles and led the team in charges (drawing 23 over the course of the season). Omoruyi began playing basketball in the tenth grade after previously competing in soccer. In high school, he was named a 2016 Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association First Team All-Star. He was named both the player and defensive player of the while while helping his team to the OSBA Championship.
