Family of Athletes Sports has signed Jared Mayden, safety for the San Francisco 49ers to their NFL client roster. He will be represented by Tom Brockett and Anthony LaRubbio of FOA Sports.
The 6’0”, 205 lb Safety is from Dallas, Texas, and attended high school at Sachse High.
During Mayden’s career at Alabama he played in 36 games (11 starts) in four years and registered 82 tackles, 3 Tackles for a loss, and 4 interceptions. Mayden was praised for his versatility which was displayed during an outstanding performance during his senior season, in which he played multiple positions.
After going undrafted in April, Mayden signed with San Francisco as a rookie free agent. He didn’t make the regular-season roster coming out of training camp, but San Francisco has had him join the active roster twice under a new rule that allowed teams to call up two practice players per week. Mayden appeared on the field for special teams plays in San Francisco’s 33-6 victory over the New England Patriots on October 25th and their 27-13 loss to New Orleans Saints on November 15th.
Mayden has since signed a reserve/future contract since the regular season ended on Sunday and looks to be with the San Francisco 49ers come July 28th for training camp.
