Jon Heyman of MLB Network, announced that Los Angeles Angels pitcher Noe Ramirez has signed with Steve Rath and Jeff Borris of Ballengee Group.
Ramirez is 29 years old and was drafted in the 4th round of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Boston Red Sox out of California State University Fullerton, making his Major League debut on July 3, 2015 for the Boston Red Sox against the Houston Astros.
Previously represented by Scott Boras and the Boras Corporation, Ramirez changes agents at a time when he reaches Super Two eligibility, and therefore, eligible for arbitration for the first time in his career.
Ramirez has accumulated 1 year and 139 days of Major League service time through the 2019 season, and will have reached 2 years and 139 days by January 2020, with his first year of true arbitration coming in 2021.
In order to be eligible for Super Two status, a player must have accumulated at least 2 years of MLB service time but less than 3 years. A player must also be in the top 22% of service time among players with 2-3 years of Major League service in order to reach Super Two status.
In 2019, Ramirez posted a 3.99 ERA in 51 games, striking out 79 batters, and posting a Win-Loss record of 5-4.
Ballengee Group baseball clients already include Tucker Barnhart (Reds), Jake Cave (Twins), and Seth Lugo (Mets), among others.
