Raymond Representation has signed free agent Emmitt Williams, who formerly played with the Agua Caliente Clippers in the NBA G League. Williams will be represented by Michael Raymond as he joins the Raymond Representation family.
The 6’6″, 224-pound forward is from Lehigh Acres, Florida where he attended high school at IMG Academy and Oak Ridge High School. In high school, Williams was a five-star forward who was ranked number 21 by ESPN and number 26 by 247Sports. He led Oak Ridge to the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 9A State Championship with a 30-4 record in 2018 averaging 17.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He was also awarded HS Class 9A Player of the Year in 2018. Williams participated in the Jordan Brand Classic, where he scored 44 points in the All-American Game. He broke Lebron James’ scoring record in the classic by 10 points.
Upon graduation, Williams signed to LSU in the April 2018 signing period. His sophomore season, he started 25 of 31 games he played in and improved in every statistical category from his freshman season to sophomore season. He averaged 13.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He ranked seventh in the SEC in blocked shot average. During his time at LSU, his team was SEC Regular Season Champion (2019), NCAA Sweet 16 (2019), and SEC Regular Season Co-Runner Up (2020).
During his rookie season in 2020-2021, Williams played for the Agua Caliente Clippers in the NBA G League where he averaged 4.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and then signed in Israel with Hapoel Acre where he averaged 13.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He was awarded Player of the Week in the Israeli National League for week 27.
