Basketball Agent Omar Wilkes Joins Fanatics

Omar Wilkes, who formerly served as a sports agent with Octagon and Klutch Sports, has been hired by Fanatics Inc. to run its athlete relations department at Fanatics Collectibles, which is focused on the trading card and collectibles business. Wilkes had represented many stars at Klutch including Trae Young and Anthony Edwards.

Fanatics Collectibles CEO Mike Mahan will serve as Wilkes’ direct supervisor and Wilkes will be tasked with using many of the connections he has built directly with athletes as well as others in the sports business community to grow Fanatics Collectibles’ roster of clients. As many in the sports business world know, Fanatics places a premium on exclusive relationships, which tend to be tougher to negotiate given how lucrative the trading card/collectible space can be for players.
