College Football Players Recruiting

These Boys Are Not All-American Rejects

In baseball, you can start ratcheting up clients as they graduate from high school and enter the MLB Entry Draft (if they opt to do so).  Football does not play by the same rules.  That does not mean that you cannot get a head start in scouting talented football players at a young age.  Let me introduce to you the inaugural ESPNU All-American Game.

Mark your calendar for 2PM, January 5, 2008, for the event (put ABC in parenthesis so you do not have to surf around to find out what channel it will be on).  Already, the top 2 prospects have announced that they will be playing [ESPNU All-American Game in Orlando in January].  Many stars are born in college football, but look at Percy Harvin.  He was rated the #1 receiver coming out of high school when he signed with the Florida Gators.  After only one season, he is already being compared to Reggie Bush.  The players that you watch on the ESPNU All-American Game will most likely be top selections in future NFL drafts.

The event is far away, but I am just giving you something to look forward to! 🙂

I might have to look into getting tickets to this. Over the past few years I have become a big follower of football recruiting and this year’s class looks to have some amazing talent in it. Darren, is this something you would be interested in going to?

I work for rivals.com…I have had a chance to interview some of these people..I mainly work on the west coast. A kid who has really caught my eye is Armond Armstead. When I first began to cover him, he had a few mediocre offers. Now he has offers from everyone including USC…Also watch out for Lamaar Thomas, Kavarrio Middleton, Terelle Pryor, and Solomon Koehler…Darrell Scott is the best player in the nation and is the next Reggie Bush!!! These are a few of the kids that I have developed a bond with and enjoy working with…
