The King Of The Agents

From a recent 7-page piece in the New York Daily News:

[Scott] Boras most definitely does not look like an agent spurned, like a man taken to the baseball woodshed. The most influential and controversial agent in Major League Baseball is still the king of the agents, still the man many players want on the mound to deliver their next big-bucks contract, still the most feared negotiator in baseball.

While Michael O’Keeffe mainly had great things to say about Boras throughout his entire piece (which I assume was a prerequisit for getting the kind of access that most journalists are unable to receive), what do you think about this particular statement?  The hearing between the MLBPA and MLB regarding signing draftees after the August 15th midnight deadline begins today.  Boras has two clients (Pedro Alvarez and Eric Hosmer) who may be greatly affected by the result of the case.  He already has many teams, including the Pirates, whispering profanities about him under their breath.  Will Boras maintain his crown?
