Current fullback for the Dallas Cowboys, J.C. Copeland, recently left his former agency, JL Sports, to sign with Prestige Sports International.  The former LSU Tiger will be represented by NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, Byron Cuthbert. Copeland is Cuthbert’s first SEC client.

Following passage of the NFLPA certification exam last year, Cuthbert signed a few players from smaller schools, including undrafted wide receiver Seantavius Jones (Valdosta St.), who is now with the New Orleans Saints. Jones played four years at Valdosta State in Georgia where he snagged 149 receptions for 2,300-plus yards and 33 touchdowns.

A law school graduate from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Herbert Law Center, Cuthbert obtained industry experiences through an internship with veteran NFL sports agent, Terry Bolar, at Prestige. While also attending school at the University of Michigan where he majored in sports management, Cuthbert learned the business landscape, met several coaches and general managers and gained a better 360-degree understanding of the NFL.

“Hopefully I can be an up-and-coming agent, and this is just a stepping stone to a start,” Cuthbert said of his signing of Copeland.
