CAA Sports had five clients taken in the first round on Thursday, the most of any agency. The agency’s early success included a string of three clients taken midway through the round at No. 15-17.
Mississippi-based BC Sports, led by veteran sports agent, Bus Cook, landed the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft — two total for the round.
Agencies with multiple selections besides CAA Sports and BC Sports included Relativity Sports (3), Lagardere Unlimited (3), Athletes First (2), SportsTrust Advisors (2) and Five Star Athlete Management (2).
Octagon and newcomer into the sports agency world, Roc Nation, were no-shows in the first round.
