Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has parted ways with agent Eugene Parker, and is now signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports according to Roc Nation social media outlets. Bryant terminated his agreement with Parker on October 23rd and cannot officially hire a new agent until November 5th due to the NFLPA’s requirement of a grace period after a representation change in hopes of restricting client stealing between agents. This is a contract year for Bryant and he leads the team in receptions and receiving yards.
Bryant is making a base salary of $1.78 million this season and an additional $250,000 workout bonus. Bryant was drafted #24 in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
This is not the first time Bryant has switched agents. In 2010 Bryant hired Eugene Parker when he came out of Oklahoma State and Parker negotiated a five year $11.8 million deal, but towards the end of the 2011 season, Bryant let Parker go and hired Drew Rosenhaus. Battling legal trouble in his third season with the Cowboys, Bryant rehired Parker to represent him.
