Wasserman Signs Chris Singleton

Wasserman has announced the signing of professional basketball player Chris Singleton for his representation. The former Florida State Seminole and 18th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft (Washington Wizards) is currently a power forward/center for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the Euroleague.

Although he was drafted in the 2011 NBA Draft, the NBA lockout forced him to sign his first NBA contract six months later, in December of that year. After three years with the Wizards, Singleton signed with the Indiana Pacers but was waived shortly after.

Not ready to call it a career, he signed with the Jiangsu Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association. His move to play overseas paid off, as he was acquired by the Oklahoma City Blue of the now-NBA G-League.

He signed a one-year deal (team option for a second year) with Panathinaikos in 2016. For the 2016-17 season he played in 33 games, averaging 12.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals helping Panathinaikos capture the Greek Cup and Greek League championship. His performance led to being named to the Greek League “Best Five.”

The 28-year-old Canton, GA-native is looking for his next career move and hopes Wasserman will assist in the process.
