Party Like A Sports Agent

Who says you have to be Carmen Electra or Snoop Dogg to party like a rockstar?

Sports Agent, Leigh Steinberg, has been throwing it down with the best of them for the past twenty years at his annual Super Bowl party. This year, he is teaming up with DiMora Motorcar CEO Alfred DiMora, and will be throwing the bash on the Grand Floridian Yacht at the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Fl. (my hometown!). It will be occurring from 2:00-5:00PM, but unless you are an athlete, celebrity, or politician, good luck getting in.

Warren Moon, Troy Aikman, Jimmy Buffet, Hannah Storm, and John Salley have already committed to attending this year’s party.

On a side-note, I will be attending Playboy’s 8th Annual Super Saturday Night Party – P.M.: Playboy Miami After Dark. I am definitely far from a celebrity, but I am the head college rep for Playboy in Florida. After applying, I was chosen to bring 52 girls from the University of Florida down with me on a charter bus to the party. Hopefully I get a bunch of great pictures to post up here.

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.
