Octagon, the world’s largest sports and entertainment management and marketing company, recently snagged one of the industry’s veteran leaders from another industry giant.

Mindy Coppin — former Senior Vice President/Managing Director of IMG Artists Asia Pacific — will now serve as Octagon’s Head of Asia Pacific Business Development and Strategic Initiatives.

“I am thrilled to be joining Octagon, a truly global company dedicated to providing exceptional service to its clients,” said Coppin “I have always respected what they have accomplished and I’m excited to share my experience and knowledge with such a creative and intelligent group of people.”

At IMG Artists, the 17-year industry veteran produced major events such as LIVE Singapore and the Singapore Sun Festival.  The Australian native has spearheaded projects in China, India, and Malaysia as well.  Her consulting has also afforded her the opportunity to work with the corporate community and private banks such as Credit Suisse and UBS along with recognizable brands like Mercedes and Chopard.

“We couldn’t be more pleased that Mindy has agreed to join us,” said Phil de Picciotto, Octagon Founder and President, through a press release.  “In addition to her extensive expertise and experience, Mindy is a talented, trusted, creative and engaging leader. She will be integral to our overall strategic approach to the region as we continue to expand Octagon’s footprint and expand our offerings.”

Coppin will be stationed at Octagon’s office headquarters in Singapore, which serves as the regional hub for Octagon’s corporate consulting business.
