Roc Nation Sports Signs Wilson Chandler

Roc Nation Sports signs Denver Nuggets Forward Wilson Chandler. This signing comes in the midst of the NBA trade deadline in which Chandler is being looked at by both the LA Clippers and Portland Trailblazers according to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski. Chandler’s basketball career began at Benton Harbor High School in Michigan, where he received All-State mentions as a sophomore and junior. He was also named to the first team All-State by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan. He went on to play college basketball at DePaul University, where he was named Big East Rookie of the Week twice in his freshman year. As a sophomore, he was named to the Big East all second team. He finished his college career tenth on DePaul’s all-time list for blocked shots with 86. Chandler entered the 2007 NBA Draft being selected in the 1st round, 23rd pick overall by the New York Knicks with Chris Grier as his agent. In 2011, Chandler was traded to the Denver Nuggets. During the 2011 NBA lockout Chandler signed with the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association, after the team was eliminated from the playoffs Chandler returned to the U.S. and re-signed a five-year contract with the Nuggets in March 2012.

Chandler will join James Young and Kevin Durant on the Roc Nation Sports basketball roster.
