David Harrison, former 1st round pick to the Indiana pacers, is looking to make a comeback to the NBA. In his quest to return to the league, Harrison has hired Zachary Charles of 3pt Sports Management for representation.

Harrison was drafted 29th overall in 2004 and played four seasons in the NBA. Harrison struggled under coach Jim O’Brien and ran into trouble with marijuana before ultimately moving overseas. According to his agent, Harrison was extremely stressed from “being belittled” by O’Brien and his toxic relationship with the coach “made him fall out of love with the game.”

Charles made it clear that Harrison’s return is not about money stating, “[Harrison] would play for free. He’s back in love with he game and just wants an opportunity to play.”

“At the end of the day, he’s a 7 foot center with a nice jump shot and dominating post moves. He’s a great guy who deserves a shot and his first shot unfairly taken from him. He’s looking at the NBA Summer League, D-League, and overseas,” continued Charles.

Zachary Charles is no stranger to representing players looking to make a comeback. Charles also represents Renardo Sidney; a player who we’ve covered extensively on Sports Agent Blog. Sidney, Harrison, and Jerome Harris (also represented by Charles) will be participating in the open tryouts for the NBA D-League in New York City on June 14th.
