Per a press release from the company, Wasserman today announced the signing of two NBA Draft prospects – Georges Niang and Stephen Zimmerman. Niang will be represented by agents Thad Foucher and Makhtar Ndiaye and Zimmerman by agent Darren ‘Mats’ Matsubara. Both have signed with Wasserman for representation in all areas.
Iowa State forward Georges Niang is a 2016 consensus second-team All-American and earned this year’s Karl Malone Award, given each year to the top men’s collegiate power forward. He was also named first-team All-Big 12 for the second consecutive year, after leading the Cyclones in scoring with 20.5 points per game, the second most in the Big 12.
In his freshman season with UNLV, center Stephen Zimmerman averaged 10.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, a dominant force on the glass for the Runnin’ Rebels. Prior to his college career, the McDonald’s All-American was a standout in high school, being named to the first-team All-Southwest League, first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American and winning four NIAA Division I championships.
