NBA player agent Calvin Andrews has amicably departed from BDA Sports Management after 16 years to launch his new agency Serving Athletes with Integrity Sports Management, according to the Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears.
Andrews is looking forward to the opportunity of spreading his wings in his new role as Serving Athletes CEO.
“I’m excited,” Andrews told Sports Agent Blog. “I was looking for something to give me some new energy and [launching Serving Athletes] has done exactly that. I want to go out and explore and utilize my relationships to keep on building in this industry.”
Andrews represents two NBA players in the Orlando Magic’s Aaron Gordon and the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Josh Okogie.
Gordon was selected with the 4th overall pick in the 2014 draft and recently signed a massive four-year, $80 million contract over the summer.
Okogie, the 20th pick in the 2018 draft, is currently signed to the standard rookie-deal contract of four-years and approximately $10 million.
While losing Andrews is undoubtedly a blow to BDA Sports, the agency still represents rising stars such as Luka Doncic, DeAndre Ayton and Zach LaVine.
