Klutch Sports Signs Darius Garland

Klutch Sports has officially signed another client from the 2019 NBA Draft class in Vanderbilt guard Darius Garland, the agency announced on Twitter.

Garland sustained a torn meniscus injury in his left knee back in November, and decided a few weeks ago to withdraw from school in order to prepare for the NBA Draft.

“After considerable deliberation with my family and medical staff, I am withdrawing from Vanderbilt this semester to prepare for the NBA Draft,” Garland said at the time. “I will be forever grateful to Vanderbilt and wish the program much success for the remainder of this season and beyond.”

Garland only played in five games this season for the Commodores, but he displayed mouth-watering potential, scoring 33 points on 12-18 shooting against Liberty, while also shooting a scorching 55 percent from 3 in those five games.

Despite the knee injury, Garland is still widely regarded as a top-10 pick, especially considering the amount of point guard-needy teams expected to be picking high in the lottery. NBA Draft sites such as ESPN, Sports Illustrated, The Athletic and Bleacher Report all place Garland no lower than the no. 7 pick in their latest mock draft installments.

Garland joins a loaded agency that sports a client list of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, DeJounte Murray, Tristan Thompson, Miles Bridges, Markieff and Marcus Morris, Nerlens Noel, Terrance Ferguson, JR Smith, Dion Waiters, Trey Lyles, Cory Joseph and Kosta Kofus.

Klutch also represents Darius Bazley, who is expected to declare for the 2019 NBA Draft after a one-year internship at New Balance.
