Show Me The Money!!!…Blog

Good morning world! this blog is born the day before 2006, and is here to stay.

A little background information is necessary for this first post…

What: This blog is intended to revolutionize the way we look at the Business of Sports Agents. It is not about Jerry Maguire, it is not about “Show Me The Money” (and if you are interested in becoming a Sports Agent because you
watched that movie as a kid, I suggest you find a new career path). This blog will look at various topics such as how much Agents should rely on statistics in negotiations, what aspiring Agents should do to get a foot in the door of the industry, which books should be read on the subject, and much much more.

Why: I want to be a Sports Agent, and I want to revolutionize the industry. I want other people who are very interested in this subject to have a forum to learn more about the business and express their own ideas so that we may learn from each other and have others take notice in our interest. I have searched for months to try to find a blog dedicated to the Sports Agent business and have not been able to find one. This is my passion, and I want all those that are interested to come into my world through this blog.

When: Born on date = December 31st, 2005. While I will probably not post on January 1st, 2006 (actually I definitely won’t), it will be my New Years resolution to keep this blog up-to-date and have it garner as large of a following as possible. I want to be able to look back at this post next year and have a laugh.

Who: This blog is open for everyone. Comments are suggested all the time, and if you have a desire to post messages on the blog, go for it.

I think that is enough background for the first post of this blog. It is exciting just thinking about the possibilities of what this may become. No longer should we lock up the information of the Sports Agent business for one group to sell courses on it at a crazy price. Let us re-define the world of Sports Agents and let information reign.

I am thoroughly and totally impressed by this blog. It is starting out as a phenomenal place to hold a forum for aspiring sports agents, something long overdue.
