Dynasty’s Spring 2009 Intern Class

Dynasty Interns

The applicants that have been selected to fill positions in Dynasty‘s Spring 2009 Intern Class have been notified. Congratulations to Dynasty’s Spring 2009 Intern Class: Graham Chapman, Zakari Kurtz, Luca Esposito, Jonathan Woodard, and Gary Martoccio.

We are experimenting with a new idea at Dynasty. For the first time, interns will be assigned specific divisions/areas of primary responsibility. There will undoubtedly be cross-over for all interns no matter what division they have been placed in, though. Justin Herzig, a former Dynasty intern, had an instrumental role in selecting this intern class and will continue as HR Director, overseeing this class of interns.

Here are some short bios on those chosen to enter the Dynasty family:

Graham Chapman comes to Dynasty after having interned for Octagon last summer and ProVentures this past Fall. His experience with Octagon and ProVentures has given Graham an inside perspective on what it takes to represent athletes and do it well, as well as give him the opportunity to work on major marketing/sponsorship projects for athletes and companies. Graham is a senior at Davidson College in North Carolina. He is the founder of his high school’s student government and served as the first Student Body Preisdent. Graham also was a 3 year Baseball Starter and Co-Captain, 3 Year Basketball Player and Academic All-Conference Selection, and played for two years on Davidson’s baseball team. Division = Marketing

Zakari Kurtz should be a familiar name in these parts. Our relationship began when he initially asked to become a contributor for SportsAgentBlog.com. Always hungry and asking for more jobs (something we definitely look for in a candidate), Zakari continued to ask how he could help with Dynasty’s growth.

Luca Esposito is Dynasty’s first Florida Gator intern. It is my intention to give back to the school that has given so much to me in my six years of being in Gainesville, and I will do my absolute best to continue to select interns from the University of Florida. Luca will serve as my personal intern. He will be on-site, helping me handle all divisions concurrently. Luca is earning his Bachelors of Science in Sports Management and Finance.

Jonathan Woodard graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Business Management from King College in Bristol, TN. At King College, Jonathan was on an Academic and Basketball scholarship. This past year, he has been working as a legal assistant at a law firm in Florida and Jon also has a vast background in sales. Jonathan played for the AAU power, Lynchburg Hoops, and has been a part of the prestigious ABCD camp among others. Jon also has intentions to go to law school starting in the Fall. Division = Basketball

Gary Martoccio received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Rollins College and is currently working on an MBA with a concentration in Sports Business at St. Leo University. He has worked as a baseball trainer at several youth baseball camps for the past five years. Gary was a four-year baseball starter at Rollins College and was named to the All-Sunshine State Conference Collegiate Baseball Team in 2007. He was also selected to play Summer ’08 in the New York State Rookie Baseball League. Division = Baseball

Good luck to all!

Cooley Law School, haha. Isn’t that the place that came up with their own law school rankings because they were sick of being labelled a tier 4? And now, according to their esteemed judgement, are ranked above Boalt…based upon their very own “judging the law school” rankings? Love it.
