Mark Bartelstein Speaks About NFL Free Agent Deals

At the end of last week, Mark Bartelstein, CEO of Priority Sports & Entertainment and agent to many stars in basketball and football, spoke to Bloomberg Sports about money spent on NFL free agents once signings commenced.  Bartelstein said that he did not think that there were bigger deals signed than in years past, but that there have been more of them in a short period of time.  As the salary cap rises over the next few years, Bartelstein believes that the individual deals will actually become larger for the players.

He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.
