This week, Boston College sent an email out to many sports agents and financial advisors informing them of the policies and procedures the school has regarding interactions with its student-athletes and with the athletes’ families and friends. Boston College noted that it takes a conservative approach regarding said interactions. The policies and procedures, along with a copy of a registration form for agents and financial planners who wish to contact Boston College student-athletes, are embedded below. Of note, Boston College has a Professional Sports Counseling Panel (PSCP). I am of the belief that more universities should follow Boston College’s example and create PSCPs of their own.

Great information on this. I think this is a good step for college athletics. Boston College is taking all of the correct steps on developing their young student athletes as they prepare them for life and possibly a shot to play at the next level.
