On To The Next One: Andrew Gachkar

Andrew Gachkar was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the 7th round (#234 overall pick) of the 2011 NFL Draft.  Gachkar was born in Kansas and was rated the 12th best player in the state prior to enrolling at Missouri, where he played linebacker, the same position he plays with the Chargers.  He accumulated 15 tackles in his rookie season and hopes to make an even better impression in his second full season.

Another person wishing Gachkar success is his new agent, David Canter.  As first reported on his Twitter account yesterday, Gachkar is the newest client of Canter’s DEC Management.

Gachkar was previously represented by Kevin Van Ry.  I do not know much about Van Ry other than that he is a Reno, Nevada-based attorney.

Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel.
