New York-based Excel Sports Management saw a recent loss on its client roster as Houston Astros OF, L.J. Hoes, switched to Dan Lozano of MVP Sports Group.

Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles, Hoes played in just 47 games this past season between Baltimore and Houston.  The Washington, D.C. native grabbed 48 hits, seven doubles, and two triples.

In 2013, FORBES.com labeled MVP Sports group as the No. 6 most valuable MLB sports agency, with over $500 million worth of contracts under management.  Some of MVP’s other top baseball clients include Albert Pujols, Michael Young, Nick Swisher, and Carlos Beltran.

Based on Lozano’s years of experience, client list, and overall credentials, he is regarded as one of the top MLB agents; he has twice been named to Sports Business Journal’s prestigious “Forty Under 40” list (’02, ’05).
